This post is just for fun, since I had huge problems on disabling cell broadcast messages on my wife’s new Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus Android phone. Every time her phone changed base station, message would appear on her phone with annoying sound. I looked for option to disable this in every menu on the phone and it was not to be found. On some Android phones and even Samsung ones, option is located in Messages – Options (Left Soft Button) – CB Settings, but not on Ace Plus. To disable CB on this version of Samsung phone do the following:
- Wait for Cell Broadcast message to appear
- Open it
- Select left soft button
- Select Options/Preferences
- Disable Cell Broadcast
