Samsung Vivace Option Codes

It is hot in Zagreb these couple of weeks. Personally, the only reason I like winter more than summer, is that in winter, you can put on or take of as much clothing as you like to achieve desired body temperature. In summer, your skin is as far as you can go with taking your clothes off.

This article has relation to IT if you purchased this AC to cool down you server room, which is not recommended. Not because it is bad AC, but because it is not designed to be used as cooling device for a server room. Smile

So, the only other way to cool yourself down is air conditioning. As much as all of us know that AC is not always good option, we all like to to utilize it as much as we can.

Samsung Vivace aqv12vbeTwo years ago I purchased Samsung Vivace AC (AQV12VBCN), it was not cheap and I was very happy with it. And yesterday, after we returned from a 2 day trip, AC failed to start cooling down our apartment. Why? How? What happened? After 1 hour search on Bing, I learned that this was known issue with Samsung AC devices. It seems that sometimes, when electric power dies, AC forgets its programming codes and does not know how to cool or heat or whatever.  It took me one more hour to locate service manual for my AC and to locate option code that has to be programmed in.

So, for all of you that have the same problem, and that have called or wanted to call repairman, here is a simple solution. I have attached two PDF files, one that has codes for many models of Vivace ACs and service manual for my model of Vivace.
