Windays 2010

by Marin Franković on 2 March, 2010

Windays 2010 team announced all accepted session nominations for 10th anniversary conference.

I nominated three sessions, but only 2 were accepted. 🙂 If you are wondering what your favorite speaker will be presenting next April in Rovinj, keep reading.

  • AD backup and recovery – of course, I will be talking about Windows Server 2008 R2 AD B&R. I expect this to be level 300 sessions since I will be showing some advanced techniques with scripts and hopefully PowerShell. Also, I will give more info on “new” backup tool and share some interesting tips and tricks regarding B&R in Win2k8R2.
  • Virtualization under control – this session will be either level 200 – 300 or level 400. 🙂 It all depends on how much time I will have to prepare for it. Essentially, I will be talking about System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2, but with a twist. 😉 Expect to see some unexpected ways of administering virtual machines and Hyper-V hosts.

Third one was named “360 degrees of control” and was based on System Center Essential 2010 (sorry Tomica but I did have 2 sessions on 2007 version :)). Sadly, this session was rejected, although I had couple of interesting concepts to present.

As always, if you visit my sessions, not only that you will receive valuable knowledge and useful information, there will also be “goodies”. Not that anybody is coming to the sessions just because of that. 🙂

Hope to see you in Rovinj this April. If you do come to Windays, please feel free to talk to me about Windows Server technologies, virtualization or management infrastructure scenarios.

Interesting how you managed to get a session without telling the nominating team the level of difficulty… Thats like saying : “I will be talking about something, but I don’t know what right now” 🙂

Be aware that after all, “I am legend”, which means that some of my nominations where accepted even before I submitted them! 😉
