Great news for all enterprise users that want to utilize virtualization technologies in their environment. Red Hat Enterprise Linux is tested, validated and certified to run on Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2 hypervisor. On other hand, Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2 are tested, validated and certified to run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4, using Red Hat’s KVM-based hypervisor.
Microsoft and Red Hat also agreed to provide support for several applications that will run in one of certified environments. More info can be found on Virtualization Team Blog.
Great news indeed!
