Just 2 days from official release of Windows 7, Lenovo released couple of Windows 7 32 and 64 bit compatible drivers. Lenovo site is quite confusing when it comes to drivers and applications, some SL500 applications and drivers for Windows 7 can be found here and this link will take you to Lenovo Windows 7 BETA, RC and RTM applications and drivers.
Official explanation of drivers and applications availability has been posted in Lenovo forums. Here is C/P:
Ok, This is pretty much as "official" as it’s gonna get. Lenovo will post final Win 7 WHQL certified drivers on or about October 22 to coincide with the official Microsoft release date of Windows 7. Lenovo will begin supporting (via the hellpcenter) our Windows 7 preload and the Windows 7 upgrades. I am not sure of our support for Windows 7 RTM code, but will send the question up the chain.

Windows 7 should automaticly install modem driver. If yours does not work, maybe you have faulty modem. You should service it.

Hi Abolfazl,
best way of action is to download TVSU, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/TVSU-UPDATE.html, and use it to download latest drivers for your laptop.

Hi, after update my Lenovo SL500 to win7, the screen resolution dosnt work at 1440×900 like it did before, could you help me please. Thank in advance…
Hi william Au,
resolution on my Lenovo is 1280 x 800. That is biggest resolution that my video card (Mobile Intel 4 Series Express) supports. Did you try to download latest drivers from Lenovo site? Have you installed latest System Update application and ran it to download all the latest patches?
