Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Writer

As I read many Microsoft employee  blogs, I found out that they tend to use Windows Live Writer application to upload post. I have just installed it, and this is my first post written using it. I must say that I am pretty amazed on how it integrates into WordPress framework and I will use it from now on regularly.

It can also be used to upload content to Microsoft Live Blog service, SharePoint blogs or basically any other blogging service. If you ever used Microsoft Word or WordPad you will feel at home with this application. I highly recommend it.

I’m thinking to start using it, but I don’t see why should I use it except for writting posts while I’m offline. I like to have hands on real engine while writing posts, and new Wordpress has great control panel.

Yes, but did you use it? It has much better control over posts than Wordpress does. I find it much easier and more efficient to write posts using Windows Live Writer than Wordpress built in editor. Did you try to create tables in Wordspress editor? Even with plugins that are designed to help you with that it is to complicated. Once you try it you wont go back. 🙂 And yes, did I mention that it supports its own set of plugins? Such as plugins for inserting code, video and maps?! 🙂
